International opportunities for LUSEM students

Lund is just the starting point. As a student at LUSEM, you have plenty of opportunities to go abroad during your studies. Take the chance to immerse yourself in a different culture, boost your employability and expand your international network.

Our partner universities often have several international accreditations and are highly ranked in international contexts – a strong guarantee that you will continue to receive high-quality education during your semester abroad.

Exchange

Going on an exchange means spending a semester abroad at one of LUSEM's partner universities. The academic credits you have earned may be transferred based on programme-specific requirements, and may be included in your degree. 

You have the option to go on an exchange semester if you are studying:

  • A Bachelor's programme at LUSEM.
  • A Bachelor's programmes that study part of their education at LUSEM.
  • Freestanding courses with the aim of earning a degree from LUSEM.
  • MSc in Economics or MSc in Innovation and Global Sustainable Development

Double degree

Several of our one-year master programmes offer the opportunity for a double degree. This means that you will spend one semester or one year abroad at one of our partner universities after your studies in Lund and obtain a Master’s degree from both Lund University and from the partner university.

Summer exchange

Summer exchange is an opportunity for Bachelor's and Master's students to go abroad during the summer. Participation in a summer exchange will not prevent you from applying for exchange studies in future application rounds.

Tuition-based mobility programmes

LUSEM has partnered with Stanford University and UC Berkeley to provide unique access for our students to some of the best academic programs within the innovation hub of the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. These opportunities are tuition-based.

Minor Field Studies

If you are interested in global development issues, you have the opportunity to conduct a minor field study in a developing country to collect material for your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree project.
