First up will be the closure of Scheelevägen. A new roundabout is being built at Beta 6. Scheelevägen will be closed in March and will not reopen until the summer of 2026.
After the summer of 2026, the next major construction project will start. It is the widening of the E22 between Lund north and Gastelyckan (Dalbyvägen). The work involves putting three new bridges in place. The work is supposed to be completed in 2028. It will have a major impact on those who travel to LUSEM and pass on or under the E22 motorway around north of Lund.

During spring, Lund Municipality will begin the more extensive work on the new roundabout on Scheelevägen.
Below is a rough timetable of current events in the near future.
- Week 7 – work on the new local street east of LKP's surface parking lot “Norra Grus” continues.
- Week 7-8 – NCC establishes sheds, construction work begins.
- Week 10 – Scheelevägen is closed to through traffic, see red area in the picture below. Construction work will begin in Scheelevägen. The entrance to the parking lot at Beta/Ideon Science Park west is closed from Scheelevägen. The entrance to Scheelevägen 16-20 is not affected. Diversion routes will be signposted in place. In the map below, diversion routes for pedestrians and bicycles are marked with a green route and diversion for vehicle traffic with an orange section.
- October – New local street opens to traffic. The work area on Scheelevägen is expanded. Entrance to Scheelevägen 16-20 is via a new local street.

E22 will be widened and gains new access / exit to the Ideon area
Starting after the summer of 2026, the Swedish Transport Administration intends to begin the second phase of the E22 route through Lund. The work is extensive and will have a major impact on those who need to reach the School of Economics and Management via the E22 motorway. Three new bridges will be built and put in place. The work is expected to be completed in 2028.
