About the Department of Informatics

The Department of Informatics offers education, research and collaboration in the future-oriented field of informatics. We are one of six departments at the School of Economics and Management in Lund.

We are proud to coordinate the three-year bachelor's programme in design of information systems and the one-year international master's programme in information systems. Education in informatics and information systems includes the design, implementation and impact of information systems. We also offer freestanding courses and doctoral studies.

Our research focus is digital transformation. We research in areas ranging from AI, sustainable information systems and e-government, to information security and e-health.

Our department collaborates with other parts of Lund University, external universities and organisations – both private and public.
