Health economics
Researchers in the field of Health Economics study economic determinants of individual health behavior, economics consequences of health shocks, and effects of healthcare policy reforms.The health economics research at the department is top-ranked in Sweden and there is close collaboration with researchers at the Medical faculty.

There is ongoing research about human aspects of technology and how technology can help us find balance in life, at Department of Informatics at LUSEM. It is about technology and balance in work life and everyday life. Or as professor of informatics Saonee Sarker called her latest public lecture at LUSEM "The human side of technology: work-life balance, stress and digitalisation".
This research benefits people in everyday life as well as in more advanced situations and also contributes strongly to important development of technology and help to understand and use it.
