Valid at all Lund University Libraries

If you are a student or an employee at Lund University, the LU card is valid as a library card. Others get a library card at one of Lund University's libraries.

Library card

Your LU card is valid as a library card at all Lund University libraries. You need it to borrow or request items, and to renew your loans.

If you are not a student or employee at Lund University, you can get a library card at one of Lund University's libraries.

Get a library card

Student or employee at Lund University

  • First you need to collect a LU card.
  • Then you create your library account.
  • Finally go to one of the libraries at Lund University to activate the LU card as a library card.

Not a student or empoyee at Lund University

Everyone who has a Swedish personal identity number, is a resident of Sweden and is over the age of 18, can be issued a library card on a personal visit to one of the LUB libraries. A valid photo ID must be presented.

A personal guarantee is required for persons not affiliated to Lund University and who do not possess a Swedish social security number.
