Interlibrary loans

If there are items you are unable to obtain through the usual channels, you may place an interlibrary loan request, which means that we will obtain the material for your use from the holdings of other libraries both within Sweden and from around the world.

How to place an interlibrary loan request

First, check that you cannot obtain the item via the library catalogue LUBcat or LUBsearch. Then use the request form to order an interlibrary loan.

Who can place an interlibrary loan request?

The Interlibrary loan service is available to all members of faculty and staff, as well as students at the School of Economics and Management.

What does it cost?

The service is free of charge for researchers.

  • Loans within the Nordic countries are free of charge
  • Loans from all other countries: SEK 150

Articles are always delivered as photocopies which are subject to a fee. The fees below are minimum fees which may be higher depending on the number of pages.

  • SEK 80 per article

How long will it take to obtain my request?

Interlibrary loans within Sweden are usually obtained within 7-14 days. You can speed up the process by providing as much information as possible. When the item has arrived, you will be notified via e-mail.

The lending library sets the loan period. If you wish to use the item beyond the initial period of the loan, we can ask the supplier if they will renew the item.

To apply for a renewal, either send an e-mail to or call
