Coronavirus and library services
We have strengthened the LUSEM library’s digital services for students and researchers due to the coronavirus. The physical library is open as usual, but with limited number of visitors. Please keep your social distance to both librarians and other students.
Limited opening hours
Until further notice, the library is open:
Monday to Friday 9.00-19.00
Please note, the opening hours can be changed at short notice.
On holidays we have limited opening hours.
We are happy to help you via e-mail or telephone. You can also use the chat service on the library front page.
The library offers the same support as usual; help with information retreival, reference support, download talking books and more. Please contact us to book a meeting.
Study at home
As a student or researcher at Lund University, you have access to our electronic resources even when you are outside the campus network. Access via LUBsearch and log in with your student or LU account.
Open access due to the coronavirus
Many publishers have made their publications freely available as a response effort due to the difficulties caused by coronavirus. You find information about open resources in the Swedish LibGuide 'LUBsearch & Elektroniska resurser':
Loan periods and overdue fees
The loan periods are the same as before. You can check your loans in LUBcat.
Please note that starting on 1 February 2021 we will again be charging overdue fees. As one of the coronavirus adjustments, overdue fees on all late returns were cancelled on 19 March 2020.
If you have your health and are able, we expect you to return books. Books can be returned at all libraries at Lund University that are open. You can also return books at the University Library (UB) via a book drop box outside on the west side of the building.
You can also return books by ordinary mail. You find our address here: https://lusem.lu.se/library/about-the-library/contact
