Online workshop: Innovation in the Global South

A future research program with a multi-disciplinary perspective is in the making. You are invited to give your insights to further develop this research theme which will span over the faculties of Social sciences, Economics and Management, and Technology under the CIRCLE umbrella.

The program consists of short presentations of 5 different themes, followed by comments, feedback and discussions. The sessions are short and snappy and aim to inspire as well as to identify additional angles, literature and people that can contribute to developing the research themes into vibrant multi-disciplinary forums for future engagement.

The themes:

  • What is Innovation in the Global South?
  • How does knowledge circulate?
  • What factors mediate innovation Adoption?
  • How does innovation lead to societal outcomes?
  • Who participates in innovation?

Target participants:

We seek input from researchers across the three faculties that touch on one or more of the themes above. You may have experience doing research in the Global South but not on innovation, or you might be an expert on innovation but not yet familiar with the Global South context, or somewhere in between.
