Economics and Management Day and the Söderberg Prize Lecture 2022

Hybrid

Welcome to a day of lectures, discussions and get-togethers at Lund University School of Economics and Management. This year’s theme is: Business as usual? Modern enterprises, risk, and entrepreneurship.

Business as usual? The Lund Economics and Management Day 2022 takes on topics such as modern enterprises, risk, and entrepreneurship.

On May 11, we welcome you to the third Economics and Management Day in Lund. Together, we will learn more about modern enterprises and what role they play in society. What signifies a successful business? How can entrepreneurship be promoted – without turning a blind eye to possible ‘dark sides’ of the entrepreneurial hype?

You will meet innovative researchers and entrepreneurs in lectures and discussions. You will also get the opportunity to meet with tomorrow’s entrepreneurs through the Lund Demo Day, where master's students in entrepreneurship will present and pitch their start-ups.

Lecture by Professor Linus Dahlander

We are also looking forward to a lecture by the recipient of the 2022 Jan Söderberg Family Prize in Economics and Management. The prize goes to an internationally distinguished young researcher who will be awarded SEK 1 million for his or her research. This year’s laureate is Linus Dahlander, Professor of Strategi at ESMT Berlin. He researches open innovation, idéas and entrepreneurship. His lecture will be held in English and it is titled The Future of Open Innovation.

Everyone interested in modern business and entrepreneurship is welcome to join us. Free admission. A light lunch and refreshments will be served.

The Lund Economics and Management Day will take place on site at the School of Economics and Management in Lund, at the Holger Crafoord Centre. We will also broadcast the programme digitally.

Please note that the language for most of the content during the day is Swedish. The winner's lecture is in English, as are the pitches in the breaks.
